The Morris Dancer was proud to Host its 2nd Annual Jazz Festival from 7th – 9th August.

The running list of bands and times:
Friday 7th
8pm – 11:30pm Mart Rodgers Manchester Jazz

Saturday 8th
2pm – 6pm The Original Panama Jazz Band
8pm - 11:30pm The Savannah Jazz Band

Sunday 9th
2pm – 5:30pm Harlem Hot Stompers
6:30pm – 10pm Blue Magnolia Jass Orchestra

We had children’s activities throughout the weekend;

Saturday 11am – The Umbrella Parade
The parade will gather outside of the Morris Dancer at 10:30 (so you have time to get a quick cup of tea and a bacon sandwich beforehand!) and will leave 11am prompt.

The parade is going up the road to the Methodist chapel and back down to the Morris Dancer car park and will continue to play for 1 hour. The walk will be ¼ mile.

There is a competition for the best decorated umbrella for both the children and the adults. Arthur and Gill Pedder will judge the competition and the prize will be given after they have decided.

Saturday from 11:30am to Sunday Evening – Bouncy Castle
The bouncy will be located in the gardens of The Morris Dancer from 11:30 on Saturday and will stay until Sunday evening, so there’s plenty of time for lots of bouncing!

From Saturday Morning to Sunday Evening – Scavenger Hunt
The Scavenger Hunt will be running all Saturday and Sunday. All objects are within the grounds of The Morris Dancer.
